Productive AI is built into Productive to support your work across the platform: chat with the Assistant, set up Agents to work autonomously, build Skills for repeatable tasks, and let Notetaker handle your meetings.

Core AI
AI Assistant: chat with Productive in natural language to search, create, update, and manage work across the platform
Agents: autonomous AI workers that run tasks on a schedule or in response to triggers, without you needing to be present
Skills: reusable instruction sets that guide how the AI Assistant or Agents respond in specific contexts
Connectors: connect the AI Assistant to external tools and services via MCP
MCP Server: connect external AI apps like Claude or ChatGPT directly to your Productive workspace
Projects, Deals, and Tasks
Quick AI actions: create tasks, find related items, or chat with the Assistant straight from a task comment
Deal summaries: generate AI-written overviews of deals, including activity and next steps
Filters: describe what you want to filter in plain language instead of configuring conditions manually
Docs: generate, summarize, and expand content directly inside Productive Docs
Meetings
Notetaker: automatically record meetings, generate transcripts, and produce AI-written notes
Time Tracking
Calendar-to-time-entry conversion: automatically convert Google or Outlook calendar events into time entries from the Calendar view
AI time entry management: create, edit, duplicate, submit, and approve time entries using plain language
Finance
Expense auto-fill: automatically extract and fill in expense details from uploaded receipts
Service type generation: generates an initial set of service types based on your industry when you first sign up, giving you a relevant starting point out of the box
Reporting
Reports: describe the report you need in plain language and get a fully configured result
Productive AI is available on all subscription plans, with a monthly amount of AI usage shared across your organization.
Skills are available on the Professional and Ultimate plans. AI Agents, MCP Server, and Connectors are available on the Ultimate plan only.

Turning On/Off Productive AI Features
Admins control whether Productive AI is available for their organization. If the Productive AI features are not enabled:
Users within the organization will not have access to AI features.
The organization's data will not be used to power these features.
To activate Productive AI, go to Settings > AI and toggle Turn on AI.
Restricting AI models
Admins can also control which AI models the organization can use. Turn on Restrict AI models and choose the allowed set. See AI Models for the full walkthrough.
Organization Instructions
Admins can give the AI shared context about your company, such as internal names, time-tracking rules, and the tone you use with clients. Write your instructions under Organization instructions, and click Save.
Example: "We call our clients partners. Write anything client-facing in British English."
Organization instructions apply to everyone's AI Assistant and all Agents, and take priority over personal and Agent instructions.

Tracking Your AI Usage
You can see how much of this month's AI usage your organization has used on the Usage page:
Go to Settings > Usage.
Find the AI usage card. It shows the percentage of your monthly limit used.

Your Data and AI Training
Productive does not use your Customer Data or allow third-party providers to use it to train the machine learning models that power the Productive AI.
Your use of Productive AI does not grant Productive any rights or licenses to use your Customer Data to train machine learning models.
