AI Reports let you create reports in seconds by describing what you want to see in natural language.
You can start from a suggested prompt or type your own. Once the report is generated, you can edit it directly or continue chatting with the AI Assistant to adjust filters, fields, and groupings.
📌 Note: Productive AI must be enabled by your account admin in Settings > Productive AI to use these features.
📌 Important: AI features have usage limits per user to ensure fair use and stable performance. If you reach your limit, some AI features may become temporarily unavailable. Contact support if you need additional access.
Creating an AI Report
To get started, go to the Reports section and click the AI Report button in the upper right corner.
You’ll see a prompt field asking: “What data would you like to see?”
You can:
Choose one of the suggested prompts
Write your own custom prompt
Be as specific as possible. The more detail you include about what you want to see, and how you want it filtered, grouped, or sorted, the more accurate the result.
📌 Example prompt:
Profitability by company in the last year, sorted descending and shown as a chart
Once ready, click Generate Report. The AI Assistant will:
Automatically select the relevant data sources (e.g., tasks, time entries, deals)
Let you adjust the report using natural language
Tweaking the Results
After the report is created, you can:
Add or remove fields
Apply additional filters
Change grouping, sorting, or visualization
You can refine the report manually, or keep working with the AI Assistant to iterate in real time. Once satisfied, save the report just like any manually created one.
Tips for Writing Better Prompts
Writing Effective Prompts
For best results:
Use complete sentences, as if you’re explaining your needs to our Support Team
Mention specific fields, filters, and visualizations if you know them
Use Productive terminology (e.g. “group by company,” “filter by date,” “sort descending”)
You don’t need to specify grouping, but if you want a particular structure, make sure to mention it clearly. Words like "by" or "segment" often trigger grouping automatically.
❌ "Show me how projects are doing" → Too vague
✅ "Show me project profitability by company for Q4 2025, sorted by margin descending" → Specific and detailed
Language Support
You can write prompts in any language.
