Create And Duplicate Templates

Create predefined templates in order to skip repetitive work that happens in sales deals and through the project delivery.

Updated over a week ago

If you manage your sales deals, projects, or task in more or less the same way, you can create templates and duplicate them, which will allow you to speed up your game.

Here we will cover how to create templates for:

  • Sales deals

  • Projects

  • Tasks

Creating a sales deal template

To create a sales deal template go to Sales > Deals and click on to + Deal button. Fill out the sales deal data you wish to be duplicated, and name it so it is later easy to find, like here e.x. ARTON_MOBILE app.

After creating a sales deal template click on the sidebar to the right and choose Duplicate deal.

In the Duplicate Deal form insert the Name of the new deal and click on the Duplicate Deal button. Also, keep in mind that duplicating the deal will also duplicate all services and expenses. After duplicating the sales deal you can easily edit the new deal.

Creating a project template

To create a project template go to Projects > Projects and click on to + Projects button. Fill out the project data you wish to be duplicated, and name it so it is later easy to find, like here e.x. TEMPLATE_Project.

Note that, when duplicating a project, closed and/or archived tasks won't duplicate to a new project.

After creating a project template click on the sidebar to the right and choose Duplicate project.

Follow the same procedure as explained in the above mention paragraph (Duplicating an existing project).

After duplicating the project you can easily edit the new project and insert data regarding your new project.

Creating a task template

The best way to go in creating a task template is to create one in a predefined project template. On how to create project templates see here.

So let's suppose we already have a project template named e.x. TEMPLATE_Project. Inside that project create tasks you wish to use as template tasks.

After creating a tasks template, navigate to the left, next to the Task name, and click on the checkbox to choose the tasks you want to be duplicated. Follow the same procedure as explained in the above mention paragraph (Duplicating existing tasks inside a certain project).

Also, you can also duplicate closed tasks, and they will duplicate as closed task in the Project of your choice.

After duplicating the tasks you can easily edit them later.

πŸš€ We are currently working on a Template feature that will serve as a centralized place to create and manage all your templates. Stay tuned for more updates!
