The HiBob integration with Productive allows you to sync time-off policies and periods from HiBob to Productive seamlessly.
Important Notes
Email Match Requirement
Ensure that users’ email addresses match between HiBob and Productive for a smooth sync.Approval Requirement
Only approved time-off bookings in HiBob will be synced with Productive.Daily Sync Schedule
If you’ve recently added a time-off booking in HiBob and don’t see it in Productive immediately, don’t worry—the sync runs once every 24 hours. The booking will appear in Productive after the next scheduled sync cycle.
Integration Setup
1) Access the App Marketplace
Navigate to Settings > App Marketplace in Productive.
2) Connect HiBob
Find HiBob in the list of available apps and click on Connect App.
Ensure you have the appropriate access rights (Admin) in HiBob before proceeding.
3) Add your Service User ID and Service User Token
To create a connection with HiBob, you need to create an API Service User. An API service user is a user type in HiBob whose sole purpose is to manage APIs in HiBob.

4) Save Changes
After adding the ID and Token, saving will automatically sync absence policies and time-off periods from HiBob to Productive!
Note: Following the initial setup, the integration will sync time-off data from HiBob to Productive for the past 3 months, along with any new bookings moving forward.
Syncing HiBob Absence Policies and Time-Off Periods
Absence Policies
Once connected, absence policies from HiBob are synced to Productive as absence categories and appear in Settings > Absence.
Each category is also added to the user's Absence tab as an unlimited absence allowance — day or hour counts from HiBob are not transferred.
📌 Don't see a category or allowance yet? It will appear in Productive once the first time-off booking of that type is approved and synced from HiBob.
Time-Off Periods
Approved absences in HiBob will sync to Productive, creating corresponding time-off bookings (daily or hourly). Any updates in HiBob will be reflected in Productive.
Half-days off are supported. If a user books a half-day in HiBob, it will sync to Productive as a half-day time-off period.
Approved time-off absences sync into Productive every 24 hours.
Deleted Events
Deleted time-off events sync into Productive every 24 hours, eliminating the need for manual deletions in Productive.
Resource Planner
Synced time-off bookings are marked as imported from external software in the Resource Planner.
