Productive's Resource Planner makes time tracking easier by smoothly integrating bookings into My Time as time-tracking suggestions.
This allows you to log hours with just one click, no need to start from scratch.
Let’s walk through how this works and how it can improve your day-to-day workflow.
How it Works
1. View the Booking
Here, we see that Alex Taylor is booked for the Project Management service.
The booking is for 1 hour per day, starting on April 20, 2026.
2. Switch to My Time
When Alex opens Time > My Time, the booking details appear in the Scheduled on section—pre-filled and ready.
📌 If Alex is booked on multiple services, each booking will appear separately, so they can choose which one(s) to track time for.
3. Log Time in One Click
Alex can simply click on the suggested hours to log time. They can adjust the duration, add a note, or change the time if needed.
📌 If your organization has time tracking policies configured, clicking the scheduled hours will pre-fill the time entry form instead of instantly creating the entry.
Review the details and click Save to log your time. This ensures any policy requirements are met before saving.
4. (Optional) Link a Task
If the time relates to a specific task, it can be linked directly during entry for better organization.
Additional Tips
Auto-save
If no time tracking policy is configured, changes are saved automatically. If a policy is in place, click Save to confirm the entry.
Timer Shortcut
If you’re logging time for today, a ▶️ icon appears. Click it to start the timer immediately.
Pin Your Go-To Services
Pin frequently used services to make logging even faster.
📌 If a scheduled service is also pinned, it will only appear under Pinned (not under Scheduled on) to avoid duplicates.
