Duplicating Time Entries from Yesterday

Copy your time entries from your last working day to another day in one click, instead of tracking the same work again.

If you work on the same things day after day, you don’t need to track them again. Copy your time entries from your last working day in one click.

Duplicate Your Time Entries

Open My Time in the day view and go to a day with no time entries. Click Duplicate time from, followed by the date.

Each time entry is copied with its note, service, task, time, and start time. You can duplicate up to 50 entries at once.

Which Day Is Copied

Productive copies from your last working day before the day you’re viewing. It skips your non-working days and holidays, so on a Monday it offers Friday’s entries.

The option appears when that day has at least one time entry. It’s also in the time widget.

What Isn’t Copied

  • Automatically tracked time entries

  • Draft time entries

  • Time entries on a service that no longer allows time tracking, or whose budget isn’t active for the new day. For a recurring budget, the entry goes to the budget that’s active on the new day.

If some entries can’t be copied, Productive tells you.

📌 You can’t duplicate time to a day that’s locked, or if you can’t edit your own time entries.
