Congratulations on winning the deal!
You can mark the deal as won in Productive using one of the following methods.
How to Mark a Deal as Won
1) Click the green "Won" button inside the deal.
2) Move the deal to the pre-defined "Won" stage (defined in your sales pipeline settings).
In the screenshot, the "Deal Won" stage is in the "Won" status, meaning that any deals moved to this stage are automatically marked as "Won".
3) Win the deal in the table layout under CRM > Deals.
Tip: Make sure to add the "Stage" field to the layout to be able to choose your lost stage here.
4) Drag and drop a deal into the Won stage in the board layout under CRM > Deals.
5) Win multiple deals at once by:
Checking the boxes next to the deal names (both in table and board layouts).
Selecting Stage from the toolbar at the top.
Switching them to the won stage.
What Happens After Marking a Deal as Won?
Once a deal is marked as Won, you can:
Create a new project and budget based on the deal’s services.
Add a budget to an existing project under the same client.
Create a standalone budget without linking it to a project.
Do nothing—just mark the deal as Won.
Important: Only clicking the Won button or selecting the Won stage inside the deal triggers the project/budget setup options. Dragging and dropping or bulk-winning deals will not.
1) Creating a New Project and Budget
If you choose to create a new project and budget, you’ll set up:
Budget Details: Name, owner, currency, dates, subsidiary, and proposal template.
Bookings & Transfers: Decide whether to transfer time entries, expenses, and future bookings from the deal.
Project Setup: Create a new project from scratch, copy an existing one, or use a template.
Project Details: Name, manager, workflow, and time tracking settings.
All of these can be adjusted later if needed.
2) Adding a Budget to an Existing Project
To add a budget to an existing project:
Select the project from the drop-down menu.
The project must belong to the same client as the deal.
Set up the budget (name, currency, dates, subsidiary, owner, and proposal template).
Decide on transfers: Time entries, expenses, and bookings.
You can move future bookings from the deal or keep them as they are.
3) Creating a New Budget Without a Project
If you prefer tracking progress through services and resourcing only (meaning you do not need to track time on tasks), you can create a standalone budget without a project.
Set up the budget details as above.
Choose whether to transfer time entries, expenses, and bookings.
This is ideal if you don’t need tasks or project management features.
4) Do Nothing
If you just want to mark the deal as Won without creating a budget or project, simply select "Do nothing".
