Understanding How Filters Work in Resourcing
Updated over a week ago

Filters in Resourcing allow you to narrow down the displayed information based on specific criteria, such as viewing bookings for a particular project, team member, or date range.

However, you'll notice that when certain filters are applied to your view in Resourcing, some bookings will appear transparent. This is due to the fact that these bookings do not match the applied filters but are still displayed to provide context.

For a clearer overview, switch on the "Show only filtered bookings" toggle found in the Filters dropdown, and any transparent bookings will be removed, solving this issue and helping you focus on the relevant information.

When this toggle is enabled, all bookings not covered by the filters will be hidden from the screen. When the toggle is disabled, the filters work as follows:

In People Resourcing

  • Filtering by People (Person) Group: If you filter your bookings by the People group, those who are not covered by the filter will not be displayed.

  • Filtering by Other Groups: If you filter by any other group (e.g., project type; client or internal), the bookings not covered by the filter will appear transparent.

In Projects Resourcing

  • Filtering by Projects Group: If you filter by the Projects group, those projects not covered by the filter will not be displayed.

  • Filtering by Other Groups: If you filter by any other group (e.g., client company), the bookings not covered by the filter will appear transparent.

In Time Off Resourcing

  • Filtering by "Time Off Category Status" or "Time Off Category": If you use these filters, those categories not covered by the filter will not be displayed.

  • Filtering by Other Groups: If you filter by any other group (e.g., bookings, not time off categories), the bookings not covered by the filter will appear transparent.
