While building a custom permission set, you'll come across permissions marked with a Superadmin tag.
These give a user access that goes beyond standard permissions, so it's worth understanding what each one unlocks before you assign it.
Where You'll Find Superadmin Permissions
Administration: Access to Productive Polaris (only visible if your plan includes Polaris)
Imports: Manage data imports settings
Roles and Permissions: Add, edit, and delete permission sets
Employees & Contractors: Change manager and subsidiary, Change users' permission sets
Why These Permissions Are Flagged
Superadmin permissions don't just unlock an extra feature. They let a user change data or settings that other permissions rely on to restrict access.
For example, changing an employee's manager or subsidiary can also change what other, hierarchy- or subsidiary-based permissions grant to that person, or to others over them, elsewhere in Productive.
đ Treat each Superadmin permission as an admin-level decision, not a routine toggle. Limit them to roles that genuinely need this level of access.
Good to Know
None of the 5 Superadmin permissions are available to agent-type users.
Each permission works independently. Enabling one doesn't require or unlock the others.
