Setting Your Availability Status in Productive

Set up your status in Productive to let your team know when you are available.

Keep your colleagues informed about your availability and whether you'll be in the office or unavailable. Any user within the organization can set their status in Productive.

By keeping your status updated, you can ensure that your team is always aware of your availability, helping to maintain smooth communication and collaboration within your organization.

Here's how to do it!


How to Set Your Status

1) Navigate to Your Profile Dropdown

  • Hover over your profile picture or avatar in the upper-right corner to access the dropdown menu and select Update your status.

2) Choose Your Status

  • A pop-up will appear where you can choose from five predefined statuses or create a custom one.

  • The predefined statuses are:

    • ๐Ÿข In office

    • ๐Ÿก Working remotely

    • ๐ŸŒด On vacation

    • ๐Ÿค’ Out sick

    • ๐ŸŽŠ Holiday

3) Personalize Your Status

  • If the predefined statuses don't fit, type in a custom status message and select an emoji to accompany it.

  • Your two most recently used statuses will also be displayed for quick selection.

4) Set a Duration and Save

  • Choose the "Remove status after" option to specify when your status will automatically be cleared.

  • You can set a custom date and time for your status duration based on your availability.

  • Save the changes after setting up the status.

Checking Someone's Status

Instant Updates

  • Once saved, your status is immediately updated and visible next to your avatar.

  • Hover over a colleagueโ€™s status icon to see the duration of their current status.

Visibility in Comments

  • When commenting on tasks or mentioning someone, their current status and availability duration will be displayed, making it easy to know if they are available.

Editing or Removing Your Status

Edit Your Status

  • To change your status, go back to the status option in the profile dropdown menu.

  • Make the necessary changes and click "Save."

Remove Your Status

  • To clear your status, select "Clear status" from the profile dropdown menu to reset it completely.

Syncing Your Availability Status with Time-Off Bookings

You can choose to sync your status with time-off bookings. Enabling this sync ensures that your availability status automatically reflects your scheduled time off.
