The Progress custom field lets you record how far along something is as a number within a range you define, shown next to the number as a progress chart.

📌 Progress values are entered manually. Productive doesn't calculate them from subtasks, to-dos, or tracked time.

Navigate to Settings > Custom fields.

Choose the item you want to apply the field to, and click on + Add new custom field.

From the custom field menu, select the Progress field type.

Name and Configure the Field:

📌 Min and max values define what a full chart means. With a range of 0–100 the number and the percentage match, but with a range of 0–5 a value of 2 fills the chart to 40%.

Once created, you can apply the progress custom field to any relevant item. Go to the item you want to track, and find the custom field section in its sidebar.

Type a number into the field, or use the arrows to step the value up and down in increments of 0.1. The chart fills as you type, and the value saves automatically.

Decimals are supported, so you can enter 2.4 as easily as 75.

📌 Values have to fall inside the range you set. Enter something outside it, and the field shows a message "Must be less than or equal to 100" until you correct it.

Add the field as a column in any list or table view. Each row shows the value with its chart beside it.

Click the column header for the display and format options: sort the column low to high or high to low, filter by it, or change how the value is presented.

You can switch between showing a number, a percentage, a linear bar, or the default radial chart, set the precision, and choose how the value beside a radial chart reads.

📌 Progress fields behave like Number fields elsewhere in Productive too, so you can sum or average them in view aggregations and chart them in Reports.
