How to Disable Tracking Time and Expenses on Deals

Disable time and expense tracking on deals by turning off these options for each stage in your sales pipelines.

Updated over 3 months ago

If your organization doesn't use time or expense tracking on sales deals, you can easily disable these features at the stage level in your sales pipelines.

While there's currently no global toggle to disable time tracking or expense logging across your entire organization, you can turn off these options for each stage in your sales pipeline.

Doing so for all stages effectively prevents time and expense tracking on any deal!

How to Disable Time and Expense Tracking on Specific Stages

Follow these steps to disable time and expense tracking on a specific stage of your sales pipeline.

1) Access Pipeline Settings

  • Go to Settings > Sales Settings.
    โ€‹

  • Locate the Pipeline you want to modify.

2) Edit a Stage

  • In the list of stages, click the three-dot menu next to the stage name.

  • Select Edit.

3) Disable Time and Expense Tracking

  • In the stage settings, uncheck the options for:

    • Time tracking

    • Expense tracking

4) Save Your Changes

  • Once you've disabled these options, click Update stage to apply the changes.

Applying This Change to All Stages

To completely prevent time and expense tracking on deals, repeat the above steps for every stage in your sales pipelines.

This ensures that neither time nor expenses can be logged on deals as they progress through your sales process.

Result

Once you've disabled time and expense tracking on all stages, users will no longer be able to track time or expenses on any deal.

This method helps prevent confusion for teams that only track time or expenses on active budgets, not deals still in the sales phase.

FAQ

Can I disable time and expense tracking globally for all deals at once?

No, there is currently no global toggle for this feature. However, you can disable it for each stage of your sales pipelines, which will ensure time and expense tracking is not available on deals.

What happens if time or expenses have already been tracked on a deal?

Disabling time and expense tracking at the stage level prevents future entries, but any previous entries will remain and may need to be manually removed.
