Try it out lets you use Productive with a specific permission set applied, so you can check what someone with that set can see and do before you assign it.
đ Changes you make while trying out a permission set are real. Anything you create, edit, or delete affects live data and is saved under your name.

Who Can Use Try It Out
Try it out is available to anyone who can manage permission sets.
How to Try Out a Permission Set
Go to Settings > Permission sets.
Click the three-dot menu next to a permission set and select Try it out, or open the permission set and click Try it out.
Productive opens in a new browser tab with that permission set applied.
If you have unsaved changes, you'll be asked to save them first so you try out the latest version. A new permission set has to be saved before you can try it out.
What You'll See
A banner at the bottom of the screen shows which permission set you're trying out.
Menus, settings, and actions match the selected permission set. If the permission set doesn't allow something, you can't do it in this tab either.
What to Keep in Mind
You're still using Productive as yourself. Try it out applies the permissions of a set, not another person's account. You can't preview Productive as a specific user.
Some data depends on you, not the permission set. Permissions such as view only projects you're a member of or view only tasks assigned to you apply to your own memberships and assignments. What you see can differ from what a teammate with the same set sees.
All actions are real. Tasks, docs, time entries, and other changes are saved to your live account and show as made by you.
How to Stop Trying Out a Permission Set
Close the tab. Your other Productive tabs keep your usual permissions the whole time.
