Dashboards are available in both Standard and Premium plans, but sharing dashboards is only available in the Premium plan.

The Dashboard is the first thing you see when you log in to Productive, which you can customize to have the most important data displayed at all times.

Create a new Dashboard

To create a dashboard, hover over the 'Dashboards' menu in the main navigation pane and select '+ Add New':

Also, note that you can have multiple dashboards and quickly switch between them. So for example, one dashboard can be related to invoicing metrics, another can be dedicated to revenue figures, etc.

Sharing a Dashboard

A dashboard can also be shared with other users and/or teams. In the sharing options, you can also decide on the permission level for each person/group.
In the upper right corner, select Sharing options:

There are three levels of permissions on each dashboard:

  • Can view - user/group can only view the dashboard and cannot make any changes

  • Can edit - user/group can edit the dashboard (its widgets and layout)

  • Full access - in addition to view and edit rights, users/groups with this permission can also delete and share this dashboard

💡 Note that everyone will see only the data that is allowed to see according to their role, so be careful when sharing a dashboard -> to a person that doesn’t have the right to see the data in the widget, the widget will appear as a “restricted widget.”

Switching between Dashboards

If you have multiple dashboards set up, quickly switch between them by clicking here:

Widgets

The building blocks of a dashboard - Widgets - have been vastly improved and expanded, so now there are even more options on what you can add to your dashboard.

💡 Widget data is automatically updated every 60 seconds.

Add a widget

To add a widget, click on the + Widgets button in the upper right and then select '+Widget'

You will then see a list of available widgets in the Widget library split into three categories:

  • My work

  • Organization

  • Copy from Insights

My work and Organization contain predefined widgets, and in the Insights category, you can add your own custom-built insights.
Insights that can be added as widgets are the ones that have been created in the Insights menu. Also, the Insights category, when adding a widget, is only available to those roles than can see the insight menu (coordinators, managers, and admins).

💡 An important thing to note is that once an Inishgts is added as a widget, the relationship with the original insights is 'broken'. In other words, when an insight that is now a widget is edited via the 'Edit widget' option, it will not affect the original insight located in the Insights tab.

Edit a widget

To edit a widget, click on the ✏️ icon:

From there, you can edit its name and type, as well as additional options that you can find in Insights - filters, grouping options, etc:

A widget can also be resized - to expand or shrink it, hover over its border and drag it to the desired spot:

Full-screen view

A dashboard can be displayed in a full-screen view, making this a great option for everyone who has a lot of widgets and is looking for a better overview of their dashboard.
Click on the dashboard menu, and select Full-screen view:

To exit the full-screen mode, hit ESC.

Why cannot I see the values on the X- and Y-axis?

That is due to the size of the widget. Try resizing it so the widget is at least 15 "squares" wide and 11 "squares" tall.
