Tweaking Metrics and Grouping Data in Reports

To customize the metrics in your report or to add your own, use the options located just above the displayed data. This allows you to tailor the report to your specific needs.

Multi-Grouping Data

Productive's Reports feature allows you to group data by multiple categories. Click on Group By and select the categories you'd like to group by. For example, you can organize your time report by budget and service type for a more detailed analysis.

πŸ“Œ Third-level grouping (Beta) lets you add one more layer of organization to your reports. For example, you can create a task report grouped by Company > Project > Task status to get a clear overview of task progress across all projects.

Dock/Undock Filters

By default, filters are docked above reports, but you can undock them to appear next to other options.

Once undocked, you’ll also see the option to dock them back again.

Pivot Table

By selecting the Pivot by option, you can pivot the report by specific columns, providing a focused view of your data.

Creating Charts

For a visual representation of your data, click on the Visualize dropdown and choose the type of chart you'd like to see. You can switch between a chart, and a table view, or display both simultaneously.

To adjust the chart type, use the menu above the data, and select from the following options: Column, Line, Area, Bar, Donut, or Metric.
 Β

Currency Switcher

The Currency switcher option enables you to display financial data in reports in any other currency, based on the exchange rate of a selected date.

πŸ“Œ To explore more advanced options of currency settings, see our article Configuring Currency Settings in Productive.

  • After selecting the new currency, choose the date on which the rate should be applied.

  • This adjustment will only affect the display currency and data within the report, leaving the default currency unchanged.
