Weekly Summary Reports

Every Monday, Productive sends a summary of last week's activity. What you see depends on your permissions and whether there's relevant data from the week.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Every Monday at 6 AM (in your local timezone), Productive sends you an email summarizing the previous week's activity. The sections you see depend on what data you have permission to view and whether there's relevant activity from the previous week.

Who Receives the Report

You receive the weekly summary if all of the following apply:

  • You are a time tracker

  • You have logged in to Productive at least once

  • You have weekly reports enabled under Settings > Notifications > Reports > Weekly Report

What's in the Report

The report has six possible sections. Not all sections appear for every user β€” each one requires specific permissions and at least some relevant data from the previous week.

1) My Week

Always included for everyone who receives the report. Shows your personal data only:

  • Total hours worked and absences for the week

  • Top budgets and deals you tracked time on

  • Tasks you created

2) Projects (Budgets Ready for Invoicing)

Shows the total amount ready for invoicing and the top 5 budgets with a pending invoicing amount.

Only appears if you have permission to view all budgets and at least one budget has a pending invoicing amount.

3) Sales

Shows new, won, and lost deals from the previous week.

Only appears if you have permission to view all deals and at least one deal was created, won, or lost last week.

4) Invoicing

Shows the total amount invoiced and the top 5 invoices sent last week.

Only appears if you have permission to view all invoices and at least one invoice was sent last week.

5) Overdue Invoices

Shows all currently overdue unpaid invoices, broken down by age: 0–15, 16–45, and 46+ days.

Only appears if you have permission to view all invoices. Unlike other sections, this isn't limited to last week β€” it's a snapshot of everything overdue as of today.

6) Payments

Shows the total amount received and the top 5 payments from last week.

Only appears if you have permission to view payments and all invoices, and at least one payment was received last week.

Permissions and What You See

The My Week section is personal and requires no special permissions. All other sections show org-wide data and require specific permissions:

πŸ“Œ Two people at the same company can receive very different weekly emails depending on their permissions. If a section is missing, you may not have the required permission β€” or there was no relevant data from last week.
