Updating Email Addresses: Your Own and for Others

Change your own login email from your profile, or another user's before they accept their invitation.

Your email address is also your login for Productive. You can change your own at any time from your profile. For other users, you can change it only until they accept their invitation.

Changing Your Own Email Address

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner to open your profile.

  2. Open the Info tab and click Email.

  3. Type the new address, then press Enter or click away.

  4. In the Change login email? window, click Change email to confirm, or Cancel to keep your current address.

From then on, use the new address to log in. If you belong to more than one organization, the change applies to all of them.

📌 If you log in with single sign-on (SSO), you can’t change your email in Productive.

Changing Another User’s Email Address

You can change another user’s login email only before they accept their invitation, and only if your permission set lets you edit users (Admins can by default). After they accept, the email field is locked, and they need to change it themselves from their own profile.

  1. Go to Settings > Users and open the user’s profile.

  2. On the Info tab, click Email, type the new address, and press Enter.

📌 If someone else in Productive already uses that address, a warning icon appears next to the field. Hover over it to see who.

Changing a Contact’s Email Address

Contacts don’t log in, so you can change their email at any time from their Info tab in CRM > Contacts, if your permission set lets you manage contacts.
