Manage Invoices in Multiple Currencies

Learn how to set up two currencies on your invoices.

Certain countries' legislation dictates the use of two currencies on all financial documents. If you come from one such country, or if you want to display two currencies for another reason, Productive has you covered:

As you can see, all the amounts here are displayed both in GBP and EUR.

Default currency

First, you need to set up your organization's default currency. Go to Settings - General and select the default currency here:

This default currency will always be displayed on your documents. Also note that your exchange rate provider will need to be set up. If it is not set up, please contact us directly via in-app chat.

Document currency

When creating a document (e.g. an invoice), its currency is drawn from the related object - e.g. the budget. If the object (budget) currency is the same as the default currency, only this one currency will be displayed on the document.

However, if the invoice currency is different to the default currency, both will be displayed on an invoice. In our example above, GBP is the invoice currency, and EUR is the default currency.

Note also that the exchange rate will be displayed on the document:
