If you've integrated your Productive account with Xero, QuickBooks, Exact, or E-conomic, you can enable the payments sync with Productive.
In other words, if you mark an invoice as paid in any of those accounting tools, that status will reflect in Productive as well.
💡 This also applies to partial payments or payments in tranches for Xero and Quickbooks, but partial payments will not but recorded for E-conomic!
It is important to note that if an invoice is marked as paid in Productive, this change will not be taken into account in Xero, QuickBooks, Exact or E-conomic. There is no 2-way sync.
Using Xero as an example
To enable payments sync, go to Settings > App marketplace and select your accounting tool. Then, click on Edit:
And set the switch to "On":
Hit "Next" and your integration will be set up.
The last thing left to do is to set up your service mapping. That is however, totally optional.
You can set up a default Xero account that will be used for all unmapped services, or you can map each individual service to a separate Xero account. Once you've taken care of that, you're all done:
Please note that the following payments will be created:
- only the ones for which the invoices have been exported
- only the payments that have been created after the payment sync has been turned on will be shown. The payments prior to creating the sync will not be created
Payments will sync only to invoices that are exported from Productive to Xero and exist both in Productive and Xero. Payments registered for those invoices in Xero will be created in Productive.
💡 Please note that this integration does not support syncing expenses created in Productive, and vice versa.
