Activity in Projects

Track project changes, comments, and linked emails in one place with the project activity tab.

The Activity tab gives you a record of everything happening on a project β€” task changes, comments left by team members, and emails linked to the project.

Use the filters on the left to control what appears in the feed, and leave comments directly on the project to keep communication in one place.

Adding the Activity Tab

To add an Activity tab:

  1. Click All tabs at the end of the navigation bar.

  2. Select + Add new tab.

  3. Choose Activity.

Feed Filters

The left panel lets you choose what the feed displays. You can toggle each option on or off independently.

Feed from determines the sources included in the feed:

  • Project β€” Changes and comments made directly on the project.

  • Tasks β€” Activity from tasks within the project.

  • Docs β€” Activity from docs within the project.

Filter this feed determines what types of activity are shown:

  • Comments β€” Comments left by team members.

  • Changes β€” System updates such as status changes, assignee updates, and due date changes.

  • Emails β€” Emails linked to the project via the Gmail or Outlook integration.

You can also narrow down the feed further:

  • Person β€” Show only activity from a specific team member or contact.

  • Date β€” Filter by a preset range, such as this week or last month.

  • Attachments β€” Show only comments that include attachments.

Leaving a Comment (Beta)

Type in the comment field at the top of the feed to leave a comment on the project. The comment field supports rich text formatting, including text and background color, bullet lists, and alignment.

Notifications

To enable notifications about new comments in the Activity tab or task activity on this project, click the icon in the top-right corner of the project.
