The Issuer field allows you to change the name displayed on invoice documents. Previously labelled as "Created by," this field is now referred to as "Issuer."
Changing the Issuer
When you create a draft invoice, the name of the user who clicked "Create draft" will automatically appear in the Issuer field.
You can change the issuer by selecting from a dropdown menu, which includes all users who have permission to manage invoices.
This gives you the flexibility to set the actual issuer to a different person than the one who created the invoice.
Invoice Document Display
On the invoice PDF, the Issuer field will reflect the selected name. If no changes are made, it will default to the name of the creator.
Additionally, you can override the Issuer label in the Document template under the Localization section, allowing for customization if you prefer a different label.
Automation
When an invoice draft is created through automation, the Issuer field will automatically populate with the budget owner's name, ensuring accurate representation of the issuer in those cases.
You can always adjust this before finalizing the invoice.
