If you want to track time and expenses on services in the budget, use the budget editor's time tracking and/or expense tracking option.

Time tracking option

By clicking on the 🕑 icon, you can enable or disable the time tracking option on a specific service.

The time tracking option is enabled for Open hours and disabled for Open expenses by default. Each newly added service will have the time tracking option enabled or disabled according to the previously added one.

When the time tracking option is disabled, employees and contractors can't track time on that service. The service dropdown menu will show only services with an enabled time tracking option.

💡 If a timer is turned on, and then you disable the time tracking option on that service - the timer that started would not stop automatically. It is so because it was turned on before you disabled the time tracking option.

Expense tracking option

By clicking on the 📄 icon, you can enable or disable the expense tracking option for services that are marked as an expense (unit: piece).

When the expense tracking option is disabled, expenses can't be added to that service. The service dropdown menu will show only services with the expense tracking option enabled.

By default, the expense tracking option is enabled for Open expenses. Each newly added expense will have an expense tracking option enabled or disabled according to the previously added one.
