If you want to send reports from Productive to Slack using Pulse, here's a quick guide to help you set it up.
Note: The Pulse feature is available only with the Ultimate subscription plan.
Setup Process
1. Organization-Wide Integration
To send Pulse reports via Slack, your Productive admin must set up the Slack integration for your organization.
Navigate to Settings > App Marketplace and find the Slack integration.
Click on "Send reports and messages to Slack" and follow the prompts to allow Productive access to your Slack workspace.
Once connected, you'll see the message: "Successfully connected to Slack!".
You'll also be notified about the integration in Slack.
Invite Productive to Slack Channels
After the organizational integration is complete, invite Productive to the specific Slack channels where you want to receive Pulse reports.
Any channel member can invite Productive by typing @Productive in the channel chat and selecting "Invite them."
You can also use the /invite shortcut: Just type
/invite @Productive
.Repeat this step for every channel (public or private) where you wish to send Pulse.
Sending Pulse to Slack
Once the setup is complete, any Productive user with access to reports can send a Pulse to a Slack channel.
Open the desired report in Productive and click the Pulse π icon in the upper right.
In the Pulse setup window, define when the Pulse will be sent and in which format (PDF, CSV, XLS).
Choose Send Pulse via Slack from the "How" dropdown menu, and select the Slack channel you wish to send it to.
β
Note: A Pulse can only be sent to one Slack channel at a time. To send the same report to multiple channels, create a separate Pulse for each.
Public channels will be listed by default in the dropdown menu. For private channels, make sure the Productive app has been invited to the channel beforehand.
Finally, select Save Pulse. You can also Send a test pulse to verify that everything is working correctly.
Receiving Your Pulse in Slack
Your Pulse will appear in the designated Slack channel in a clear, easy-to-read format.
