Granting Admin Consent for Microsoft Teams

Grant admin consent so users in your organization can connect the personal Microsoft Teams integration.

Before anyone in your organization can connect the personal Microsoft Teams integration, a Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 administrator must grant Productive permission and add the app to your Teams tenant.

This is a one-time setup done by an admin, not by individual users.

Granting Admin Consent

The setup link takes you through two Microsoft screens:

  • Authorize Productive to add the app to your Teams tenant: this lets Productive register its app in your organization.

  • Grant admin consent: this enables the personal Teams integration across your organization.

Both screens require an admin account.

  1. Open the Grant Admin Consent for Productive link above.

  2. On the Microsoft sign-in screen, select your admin account.

  3. Review the requested permissions and click Accept. This installs the Productive app in your Teams tenant.

  4. On the next screen, review the organization-wide permissions and click Accept. This grants consent for all users in your organization.

  5. You'll be redirected back to Productive once consent is granted.

📌 Use the same admin Microsoft account for both the sign-in and consent steps.

It can take a few minutes (usually 2–3) for admin consent to propagate, so don't worry if the connection isn't immediate.

Troubleshooting

  • If you're redirected with an error, check that the account you used has Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 admin privileges, then try again.

  • For privacy details, see the Productive Privacy Policy.
