In some cases, projects or tasks may demand more time than initially estimated, leading to team members working beyond their regular capacity. This raises the question: how can you track these overtime hours?
Individual Overtime Tracking
For individual employees, you can easily monitor overtime by comparing their Capacity/Availability with their Worked Hours on their profile.
For instance, if Luke has a 32-hour workweek but logged 19:30 hours last week, this would indicate he has not logged all his hours or was absent more than planned.
Organization-Wide Overtime Report
While checking overtime for one employee is straightforward, gathering this data for the entire organization can be more time-consuming. To streamline this, Productive offers a built-in Overtime by person report in the Reports Library.
Simply go to Reports, click on + Report, type in "overtime," and select the report.
This will give you a comprehensive overview of overtime across your organization, helping you stay informed and manage workloads effectively.
Example: Luke's Overtime
For example, if we look at Luke’s data for August 2024 (adjusted by filters), he has logged 35:30 hours of overtime, which is 124.65% above his availability for the month.
