With the Quick Add (+) button, found in the upper-right corner of the screen, you are able to perform actions directly from the main menu. Using this feature, you can create the following:
Time Entries
Tasks
Deals
Budgets
Projects
Invoices
Payments
Expenses
Reports
Contacts
Companies
Invites to people
Customizing your Quick Add menu
If you don't need all the options above to be shown at all times and clutter your view, there are several options on how to customize your Quick Add menu.
Easily unpin items you don't need and pin those that will actively be used by toggling the Pin icon next to an item.
Furthermore, you can collapse or expand the menu as needed to either show only your pinned items or display all the available items.
Creating a Task Through Quick Add
Let's create a new task using the Quick Add. Note how we are actually in the budgets menu and don't have to exit it to create a task!
From the Quick Add popup, you can add all vital information related to a task, starting with the task location: the project, folder, and task list.

Then, add the task title, and description (make use of the text editing options), set the start and due date, insert an attachment and designate the assignee for this task.
Once everything is ready, select "Create task" and your task will be added!
