In Productive, there are several ways available for you to find what you are looking for. Specifically, the quick search, AI search, full search, local search, and scoped search.
Quick Search
Open quick search from the main navigation or with a keyboard shortcut: CMD + K or CTRL + S on Mac, CTRL + ALT + S on Windows and Linux.
When you open it, you'll see your recent searches. Start typing, and the results that best match your phrase appear, such as a deal, a project, a person, or a form.
Once you've found what you're looking for, click on that object. You will navigate to that object in full screen. This is called a jump.
Type a special character before your phrase to search one category directly: @ for people, @@ for contacts, + for companies, ! for projects, ## for docs, # for tasks, $ for deals and $$ for budgets.
đ You can also click a category in the PRO TIP bar at the bottom of the search window.
Type / or click Actions to see the actions you can run from the search window, such as visiting settings, creating tasks, or inviting people.
AI Search
AI search is available directly from quick search. Instead of searching by keyword, type a plain-language description and select Search with AI Assistant when the suggestion appears.
The Assistant searches across your organization and returns matching objects with a link to each one. You can then ask it to pull out specific content or take additional actions.

Search Filters
Click the filters icon in the top-right corner of the search window to refine your results.
Full Search
Toggle Full search to also search through comments, docs, and the feed.
Active Only
Toggle Active only to show only active objects in your results. Turn it off to include inactive objects.
Categories
Use the Category dropdown to limit results to one type of object. You can select actions, agents, artifacts, budgets, companies, contacts, deals, docs, folders, forms, meetings, people, projects, skills, task lists, and tasks.
To search everything again, select All categories or click the x next to the selected category.
Local Search
Quick search works from anywhere in Productive. For example, you can be in Resourcing and use it to find a company.
Local search only works within the page you're on, such as projects, contacts, or deals. You'll usually find it in the top-right corner, and it filters the data on that page as you type.
Local search always supports an object's name, number, and ID. Some pages support more, but not all. For example, you can't use local search to find all internal projects. Use filters instead.
Scoped Search
When you're inside an object, such as a project, you can limit the search to that object only by clicking on it. This is called a scoped search.
