Summarize With AI Assistant

Get an instant summary of your projects and deal pipelines using the AI Assistant.

The AI Assistant can generate summaries of anything you're working on โ€” just open it and ask. You can request a project status, a pipeline overview, a stand-up catch-up, or anything in between.

The Assistant uses whatever you currently have open as context, so if you have a specific task opened, it already knows where you are.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Learn more about how context works in Working With Productiveโ€™s AI Assistant.

To get a summary, open the AI Assistant and describe what you need. For example:

  • Catch me up on what happened this week in this project.

  • Summarize the expenses logged on this project.

  • Summarize this task and highlight any open questions.

๐Ÿ“Œ You can make summaries more consistent and specific to your workflow by building a dedicated Skill for the AI Agent. Learn more about Skills.

๐Ÿ“Œ If you're using an AI Agent, make sure it has been added to the relevant project or budget so it has the context it needs to generate accurate summaries. Learn more about AI Agents.

๐Ÿ“Œ AI-generated summaries are a starting point, not a substitute for reviewing the source data. Always double-check details before sharing or acting on them.

Summarize Projects and Deal Pipelines

A dedicated button opens the AI Assistant directly from within a deal pipeline or project. When opened this way, the Assistant surfaces suggested prompts to help you get started quickly.

When you open the Assistant via the button, it offers relevant starting points depending on where you are.

In deal pipeline:

  • Executive summary โ€” a high-level overview of the pipeline

  • Activity analysis โ€” a breakdown of recent activity with actionable insights

  • Insights, blockers & decisions โ€” a focused view on what's blocking progress or needs a decision

In projects:

  • Project summary โ€” a detailed overview of the project's current state

  • Stand-up summary โ€” a catch-up on the latest updates from the team

Clicking a suggestion immediately sends the prompt. For something more specific, type your own question or ask a follow-up.
