You can create a resource request with AI instead of filling out the request form yourself. AI Request is available in three places: the Resource Requests screen, a service, and a budget.
AI request requires both Productive AI and Resource Requests on your plan. Both are included in the Ultimate subscription plan.
Where to Find AI Requests
Resourcing > Resource Requests: Click AI request, next to + Resource request
On a service: Choose Request resource with AI from the service's action menu
On a budget: Open the Resource Requests tab and click AI request
Requesting from a Prompt
Clicking AI request on the Resource Requests screen opens a prompt window. The service and budget routes skip this step and open the AI Assistant directly with a fixed prompt already running.
Describe who you need and what for, for example: "I need two senior product designers and a frontend developer for the Acme website redesign, 20 hours a week from March 3rd until the end of April."
Attach a file using Upload file if needed.
Below the prompt, Productive suggests your recent projects. Clicking a suggestion runs the prompt "Request resources for all bookable services on project {project name} based on available information".
Click Request resources to let AI create the request
📌 AI creates the request directly. It doesn't pre-fill the request form for you to review first.
Requesting from a Service or a Budget
From a service: Request resource with AI runs the prompt "Request resource for this service based on available information." AI uses the service's dates, quantity, type, and remaining time to schedule to create the request.
From a budget: AI request in the Resource Requests tab runs the prompt "Request resources for all bookable services based on available information." AI creates a request for each bookable service on the budget.
Reviewing AI-Created Requests
If AI creates a request successfully, it appears as a preview in chat, and you can edit or delete it like any other request
If AI can't create a request from what you provided, it asks for more information before continuing
