Giving your clients access to time entries
Productive allows you to give your clients an access to timesheets for a project you're working on.
Go to a budget, click on the Time entries tab and switch on/off Client access option.
Productive also gives you a possibility to turn on approval for all the time entries before they appear in any internal or client-facing reports.
To use this feature, you must enable it first in the company settings.
Step 1: Go to your profile and select Settings.
Step 2: Select Addons from the menu on the left.
Step 3: Turn on Time entries approval.
Now that you enabled this feature, go to a budget, click on the Time entries tab and switch on/off Time approval option.
The person responsible for approving time entries is also a person that's responsible for a budget. Read more about changing the responsible person in the Managing a budget article.
To approve time entries, navigate to Time and select Time approvals tab.
Approve all the time entries for a particular day at once.
Approve all the time entries for a particular budget at once.
Approve time entries one by one.
Edit time entries
If you want to change something in the time entry, go to the menu and select Edit option.
There are a few thing you could change - a date, a service, a description or billable hours.
What are billable hours?
Billable hours are hours that your client is paying for. Worked hours are hours you spent working on something.
There are situations where you don't want to charge all the worked hours to a client - maybe you were doing a research or spent hours brainstorming with your team and this is not something your client will pay for.
You can delete time entry if you go to the menu and select Delete option.
